| Backstory: |
Marcus (Formerly Mack Nickel) is a former hillbilly, much to his intense shame and chagrin. Living far, far off in the backwater lands of nowhere, he was living a very simple lifestyle, merely surviving, and not too much else.
Many years later, mostly on a whim, he decided that he wanted to wander, stating to his father that "Ah'm bored o' this place. 'Bout as fun as a bein' in a bear pen with pockets full o' bacon." And with those words, he went off from his backwater home somewhere in the US, to places a fair bit more civilized.
Where his self-confidence quickly and decisively got kicked in the groin. As it would turn out, the "Southern Charm," or however they call it, isn't worth half a week-old cow pie in the big city.
As such, assimilation was in order. Assimilation is impressively easy when you've got million year old books on proper conduct from England. Which would probably explain why he prattles more or less endlessly about tea, duels and other such blindingly British things. Only without the accent.
Following Nine's death, the Skiver Armor was left behind by Critical Mass in a retreat, only to have Marcus buy it off a mysterious dealer and have it transported to his home, where he'd learn how to fix it. However, as soon as he set out to modify the armor back home and touched it, he fused with it instantly and became the Skiver from then on. |
| Personality: |
To put it in the simplest of terms, Marcus is the stereotypical British gentleman. Only without the accent. Or, at least, that's what Marcus would do his very best to make you think.
For you see, behind the invariably British persona, lies his greatest fear:A true Hillbilly. As much as he despises it, his upbringing has simply made him a dahd-in-duh-wull Red-nek. And he really isn't the best at hiding it, either. If angered enough (which isn't too great a feat), he will often revert to his hillbilly ways, letting loose a string of usually farm-related expletives in a loud, southern drawl. Realizing the horror of what he has done, he usually flees back to his room to do something or other to calm himself. All in all, he's actually a fairly sad character.
Although damned if he doesn't still have his guilty pleasures. Nothin' like sittin' in yer basement playin' yerself sum banjo, eh, pardner? |
| Notes: |
- Marcus is actually surprisingly well-dressed, despite his many short-comings. He's hardly ever seen without his black and blue pin-striped suit and matching dandy hat. He's also shaved bald, with a finely trimmed goatee. |

Weapon Description |
Appearance(s) |
| Wind Shredder |
Although the Skiver usually attacks by gliding toward an enemy, he might occasionally fool his opponent, using rapid air currents to create an illusion of himself speeding through the air. |

| Rapid Dive |
The Skiver can rush through the air at incredibly high speeds. Colliding with an opponent will knock them a great distance away. |

| Wing Spiral |
The Skiver can also generate tornados that become larger as they last longer. |

| Weapon Name |
Why it is Effective against the Skiver |
Where it is Used against the Skiver |
| Dark Hold |
The Skiver is an agile Reploid, so when he's not moving, he's quite vulnerable. Dark Hold halts his movements for a while with Dark Energy, to which the other Critical Masters are somehow immune. |
