Backstory: Vincent Barker was once a fairly wealthy businessman trained for a harsh life by a harsher childhood.  The hardships of growing up only made him stronger and more resilient, ready to rise to any challenge.  He succeeded beyond all expectations, and was the one of the founders of Barker and Green Industries, a relatively successful computer company.  However, his partner, Green, falsely linked him to several criminal activities, including embezzlement and murder, and even attempted to take his life.  The resulting conflict shattered Vincent’s body; the police found his broken yet living remains and promptly arrested him.  He festered inside the hospital, and then the prison for ten years, witnessing the very worst humanity had to offer.

During Vincent's prison time, he felt the rage and fury of losing his life and everything that he had worked so hard to achieve.  While Vincent served his sentence, his wife left him and married Green.  Rather than becoming a raving lunatic, he instead adopted a cold, brutal persona and an obsession with revenge against humanity, which he saw as a decaying cesspool as he looked around him, himself included.  Vincent decided to take it into his own hands and to punish humanity for existing.  Not too long after the Eurasia Crisis, his day came; the accusations against him were dropped and he was freed.  Vincent watched reports about the Eurasia Crisis on the news and formulated an idea.

Green and his new wife happily gave back to Vincent his position and a small amount of his original fortune.  He used this to purchase the rights to one of the fallen Reploids, Volt Kraken, and took in the remains of the Reploid behind Green's back.  He used almost all of his remaining wealth on an operation which would take his own brain pattern and transcribe it into Volt’s mind.  His head and heart were also taken from his broken body and wired into the workings of Volt’s body.  This killed Vincent, though when he did it, he believed that his soul would also be transferred in the process.

Vincent awoke and instantly used his powers to destroy the building.  It didn’t take him too long to find his ex-wife and Green, both of whom he mocked and butchered horribly.  With their murder, Vincent found an unusual joy, which tempered his bloodthirsty nature.  Vincent was presumed dead, along with the rest of the building’s inhabitants, so Volt Kraken, reborn, was free to flee the scene without being caught.  He sought out other Reploids as well, realizing that he still needed allies— and friends, for that matter— to help him gather the resources he needs to fulfill his dreams of eternal rule.
Personality: Vincent has an aura of both sarcastic wit and cold, vengeful rage.  He’s both a brutal fighter and a brutal businessman.  He’s normally quite cheerful—a kind of sinister cheerfulness coupled with a very dark sense of humor.  He’s always the first to suggest some type of violence and is obsessed with death.  However, he still has the ability to get along well with other people, even though he doesn’t like a vast majority of them.  His general attitude towards most individuals is nothing but animosity, and he will sometimes find excuses for killing them.

Vincent has very little qualms about killing outside of legality.  In fact, he believes that everyone— including himself and friends— deserves to be killed, either to end the lives of people who don’t deserve to live or to provide a relief from the world for those who aren’t wicked.  Thankfully, his allies have little to fear, because his tendency to kill dwindles heavily when faced with people he knows personally on good terms and he is rather dependent on them.  However, that doesn't mean that they’re safe from his twisted brand of comedy.

Around friends Vincent shows a more playful side, though in a somewhat morbid and sinister war.  Usually he is cruel, sarcastic and spiteful; but somehow he retains a sense of calmness that makes him seem much more intimidating.  Vincent lives off of fear and death, and hopes to one day rebuild his empire, create an even harsher environment to vent his wrath on the planet, and attain an far greater level of power for himself and his allies.
Notes:

- Vincent was named after a long-dead relative, Vincent Zymeth.  It’s also a kind of in-joke with the Barker line to claim that, every so often, a member of the line is destined to suffer great injustice and lead horrible lives that awake in bloodshed.  Indeed, Vincent sees a great deal in common with his ancestor, but is free from the gripping sorrow that Zymeth expressed.

- Vincent just loves playing the organ, but has an affinity for the violin too.

- He has a kind of “addiction” to energy, and starts going through withdrawal symptoms when he goes too long without it.

- He has a thing for horror flicks of almost any kind.  Slasher films, thrillers, really old horror films, you name it.

- Vincent has a deep, mechanical voice that betrays his brutal nature. (Think Cooler from Dragon Ball Z.)

- Under his helmet, he has a robotic head that appears very similar to his original face, only with much longer, black hair, metallic designs around his eyes and paler skin. Ironically, he now looks much like his ancestor, Zymeth.

- Volt Kraken also loves hand-to-hand combat, and excels at it.  That coupled with his ability to project powerful electricity in a multitude of ways is his favored method of attack.

- Finally, the faceplate that covers Volt Kraken's mouth may retract at will, and his long hair sticks out the back of his helmet.

Volt Kraken's Weapons

Weapon Name Weapon Description Appearance(s)
Tri-Thunder This attack sends bolts of electricity in three different directions.  Should one touch a wall, it will change shape and roll along the surface of the wall. Track Two (unnamed), Track Three, Track Four, Track Five
Electric Punch Volt Kraken can slam his charged fist into the ground to create an electrical field that covers a ground in the nearby area. "Brontes's Fist," Vincent's invented variant of the attack, is punching an enemy with the charged fist. Track Two, Track Four, Track Seven (unnamed; as "Brontes's Fist")
Electric Trap Volt Kraken creates a levitating platform; more often than not, it's an electrified trap, but occasionally the platform can actually be walked on without causing damage to whoever is touching it. Track Two, Track Three, Track Seven
Volt Barrage Volt Kraken extends his tentacles and shoots out six Tri-Thunder shots in one direction. Track Two, Track Four, Track Seven

Volt Kraken's Weaknesses

Goo Shaver This attack is actually made of acid solutions rather than real water, and can therefore corrode Volt Kraken's armor and interior circuitry. Track Seven: "Hunted"
